NICOLA, interdisciplinary artist

NICOLA is an interdisciplinary artist and writer whose practice spans painting, sculpture, and narrative systems. Her work explores transformation as a material and emotional process, drawing from physics, entropy, and metaphysical inquiry to examine how identity, memory, and form evolve over time.

Working between figurative abstraction and magical realism, NICOLA treats the studio as a laboratory—where gestures, materials, and symbols function as energetic exchanges rather than static representations. NICOLA works across painting, drawing, and sculpture, exploring the entropy of the human form and the material world through thermodynamics, time, and real scientific principles as metaphors for transformation. She has exhibited at the Coral Springs Museum of Art and Phillips Auction House in Manhattan, and currently works between Miami and New York.
